The columbarium was opened on April 15, 1998 after a ritual ceremony.  It is a modern building with one underground level and 6 above-ground levels.  The columbarium can accommodate 87458 urns.  The construction of the columbarium not only resolves the problem of insufficient burial spaces, it also opens up a source for local income, corrects inappropriate funerary customs, and provides an afterlife paradise.
