Yong Kang city has the Chimei Medical Center, the Veterans Hospital, and several hundred medical clinics.  The city is also close to the Provincial Tainan Hospital of the Department of Health, Executive Yuan and the National Cheng Kung University Hospital.  The region is considered to have abundant medical resources to ensure quality medical access for local residents.
